Ein Ogee ist ein Eselsrücken in der Architektur – jetzt weis ich es endlich…

Oh je oh je, einmal die Rechnung nicht bezahlt und schwupp hat der Hoster die Site abgeschaltet – über eine Woche lang ging hier nix mehr – da machste nix.

Rief es aus dem Walde und schallte tief in meine Synapsen – das geschah vor ca. 4 Wochen und dann haben wir uns vorgenommen es zu tun – am Montag den 11. August 2008 ist Schluß mit den Glimmstengeln! Hey, bisher klappts ganz gut – der dritte Tag ohne blauen Qualm und das ohne größere Schrei- und Aggressionsattacken! Einfach machen und Zack, es geht! Na gut, ich gestehe – gestern habe ich eine gepafft – aber wirklich nur eine – heute halte ich durch – das weiss ich… – oh Gott!

Witzig – mein Virenscanner “ClamWin” hat sich diese Nacht über meine lokale Wordpress Installation hergemacht und “wp-includes\js\jquery\interface.js” als “PUA.JS.Packed” entlarft… – bin wohl nicht alleine damit – aber naja!

Wie darf man Google Maps und Google Earth Screenshots verwenden, lautete die Frage vor ein paar Wochen – diskutiert wurde bei Robert Basic (hier und hier). Lösungen fanden sich u.a. bei SPON, im Google Watch Blog und der PCWelt. Nun hat Google zum Thema eine neue Seite als Leitfaden Online gestellt: Permission Guidelines for Google Maps and Google Earth.

Dort heißt es:

• Copyright attribution text and Google logo must be visible inside the screen and cannot be obstructed or modified by any means.
• All uses of Google Maps and Google Earth must provide attribution to Google and our content providers similar to what is shown to the users of our products today. You may not modify, minimize or obstruct copyright attribution text or the Google logo by any means. The attribution text must be legible and must use a font size of 6 points or greater. If for some reason this cannot be done in a screen shot, separate attribution text must be provided in a reasonably apparent location with special permission.

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, ist es nun erlaubt, Google Maps / Earth Screenshots auf einer Webseite anzuzeigen solange der Copyright-Hinweis nicht entfernt, modifiziert, verkleinert, nicht lesbar ist oder verdeckt wird und die Schriftgröße 6 Punkte nicht unterschreitet.
